Athletic Field Renovation - Phase 1 - $450,000

Old track is virtually unusable with numerous cracks.

Newman Catholic High School compliments its strong academic curriculum with a proud and successful athletic program, which has reached the top of the athletic podium with state championships. However, over time the outdoor facilities have deteriorated to the point that they are unusable for hosting events and are of limited availabilty for practice. Not only will improved facilities reach new safety standards, it will also continue to drive enrollment numbers.

• Relocate track and football/soccer field to improve eroded base & provide irrigation
• Resurface track to a seven or nine lane track
• Provide spectator amenities
• Advantages:
  • Opportunity to sponsor competitions at home field and save rental fees
  • Alleviate students driving or parents transporting athletes to nearest field or court for games and practice
  • Better utilize space for future improvements to tennis courts, baseball fields and practice facilities
